# The Weekly Review — ten minutes, one page

**Who:** one person — the owner or one named delegate. Not a committee.
**When:** weekly, calendar-blocked, ten minutes. More than ten minutes of proposed claims means your proposing bar is too low — tighten it in this review.

## The pass

- [ ] Open the ledger, filter to `state = proposed`
- [ ] For each claim, one of three verbs: **approve** · **edit-then-approve** · **reject**
- [ ] Every approval: copy the rule to the house-rules page, dated, with its source
- [ ] Reject ruthlessly:
  - claims that are really statuses ("we finished the migration" isn't a rule)
  - vague virtues ("be more careful" — a rule you can't violate isn't a rule)
  - one-offs that don't generalize (account context ≠ house rule)
  - duplicates — edit the existing rule instead
- [ ] Retirement sweep: any rule gone stale? Strike through with date + one-line reason. Never delete.
- [ ] Done. Close the ledger.

**Calibration:** in your first review, expect to reject half. That's the bar working, not failing.

**Why a human, always:** the tools will happily approve their own proposals. Don't let them. A self-writing rulebook compounds noise exactly as faithfully as it compounds wisdom. The ten minutes of judgment isn't overhead on the system — it IS the system.
